6.4 Automatic off
This safety function triggers an “Error E3: Automatic Off” (your insulin pump stops
insulin delivery!) if no key is pressed within a certain time.
Automatic off is set to OFF* in the standard configuration. It can either be set to
OFF or programmed for up to 24 hours in 1 hour intervals in the SETUP menu or with
the Accu-Chek DiaLog Pump Programming tool.
To program the automatic off
1. Make sure your Accu-Chek D-TRONplus insulin pump is in
RUN
and the KeyLock is deactivated or the keys are unlocked.
2. Press
d
9 times to select the SETUP menu.
3. Confirm with
f
.
4. Press
d
once to move to the automatic off function.
5. Confirm with
f
.
The parameter for the automatic off flashes.
* This parameter may vary based on the standard configuration of your insulin pump
and changes made using the Accu-Chek DiaLog Pump Programming tool.
Info:
If
f
is not pressed within 20 seconds*, your insulin pump automa-
tically returns to
RUN
(timeout).
The previously entered temporary basal rate remains unchanged and active.
Caution:
Your insulin pump confirms the cancellation and an “Alert A6:
Temporary Basal Rate Cancelled” occurs. Silence and confirm the alert by
pressing
f
twice.

further information.
Option B
1. Put your insulin pump into
STOP
by pressing
d
twice
and
f
once.
Caution:
Your insulin pump confirms the cancellation and an “Alert A6:
Temporary Basal Rate Cancelled” occurs. Silence and confirm the alert by
pressing
f
twice. Put your insulin pump into
RUN
(press
d
and
f
) to con-
tinue the insulin delivery.

If an extended bolus is active at the same time, it is also cancelled when
your insulin pump is put into
STOP
. An “Alert A8: Bolus Cancelled” occurs
first to warn you that the extended bolus has also been cancelled.
Press
f
once to silence the “Alert A8: Bolus Cancelled”. Only after silen-
cing the “Alert A6:Temporary Basal Rate Cancelled” appears on the display.
Silence and confirm it by pressing
f
twice. The history of alerts and errors
records both alerts.
