The operating status of your Accu-Chek D-TRONplus insulin pump may be either
STOP
or
RUN
.
RUN
During normal use, your insulin pump is in
RUN
and insulin is
continuously delivered (basal rate). A bolus can be programmed
when needed. The time, the symbol for the current basal rate
profile, and the value of the current basal rate or, if activated, in-
formation on special functions (e.g. extended bolus, temporary
basal rate or KeyLock) appear on the display when your insulin
pump is in
RUN
.
STOP
In
STOP
, your insulin pump does not deliver insulin. For exam-
ple when you return the piston rod, change the cartridge, con-
nect the adapter and/or infusion set or prime your infusion set,
your insulin pump must be in
STOP
. The time, the
STOP
symbol
and -S-- appear on the display when your insulin pump is in
STOP
(if activated, the KeyLock symbol is also displayed).
In both
STOP
and
RUN
, a blinking colon in the time display indicates that your in-
sulin pump is functioning.
