7.3.3  Installing and Removing the Filter Module (Fluorescent Option)

1. If using an Lumencor SOLA SM II illumination unit, turn it off.

  Warning!

Crush hazard! Stop the running digitization process before you proceed

with filter module installation or removal.

2. Pull the pair of the protective cover halves apart or remove the right part completely (see 

section 

7.3.1 Opening the protective covers

), but do not switch the main unit off.

3. Select the desired filter and click 

Set filter wheel to insert position

) and the filter will be positioned in such a way that you will have free 

access to the filter without having to turn the filter wheel manually.
