An “instructional” screen displays. Prepare the vehicle for test as
directed:
- Start and idle the engine.

for NVLD Forced Monitor Routine
Status , NVLD Gen EVAP Status ,
Large Leak Monitor Status ,
Medium Leak Monitor Status ,
NVLD Solenoid , NVLD Switch ,
Purge Duty Cycle , Purge AirFlow ,
NVLD Frozen Test Timer and
NVLD Pull Down Timer .

Choose Finish to return to the Special Functions menu.
Purge Vapor System Test
1.
Select Purge Vapor System Test in the Special Functions menu,
then press ENTER .

The Select Position screen displays.

Select Normal , Closed or Open , as
desired, then press ENTER .

The Test Results screen displays.

The screen shows the current values for Engine Speed , Purge
Duty Cycle , Actual Purge Current , 1/1 O2 Sensor Volts , 2/1
O2 Sensor Volts , 1/1 Short Term Adaptive and 2/1 Short Term
Adaptive .
4.
If desired, choose Reselect to return to the Select Position screen,
and repeat step 3 to select a new valve position.
5.
Choose Finish to return to the Special Functions menu.
