In case of air conditioning failure
In the event of a failure of the air-conditioning unit in the inspection
room, you must proceed as follows after its reparation:
1 Slowly adjust the temperature to the nominal value.
The temperature gradient should be about 1 K per hour. Larger gra-
dients may cause material deformations, thus leading to permanent
deformation of the CMM guideways.
2 Once the nominal temperature has been reached, wait at least for
one day before starting the measuring operation.
This is important to allow possible deformations to disappear and to
ensure an optimal measuring operation.
Ideally, you should also check the precision of the CMM using a suitable
standard, e.g. CMM check.
