7-5 Extensive Communication Setting   

Sets the each communication parameter.   
Select the [Extensive communication setting] tab.

1) SMEM 

refresh 

interval 

Fetches the shared memory CB and CW values, as well as 
reflecting the CB and CW set values to shared memory. 
Specify the interval with the range of 1 to 10,000 msec. 

2) Retry 

when 

SMEM error 
occurred 

Sets the number of attempts to establish communication before 
displaying an error message in the event of a communication 
error with the shared memory server. If communication is not 
restored within the set number of retries, an error message is 
displayed. 
Specify within the range of 1 to 1,000. 

3) 

Time out when 
switching 
screen 

Establishes message communication only with the devices set in 
the displayed screen. Message communication is the 
communication performed when a direct PLC device is specified 
in the settings of a functional object. Therefore, the destination of 
the communication changes when the screen changes. Specify the 
length of time to determine whether no response from the 
destination when the switching the screen is a time-out error. 
Set the time-out monitor time within the range of 1 to 100 sec.
