Alphabetical reference
For every Command and Query, this section presents the following type of description:
[MNEMONIC]
{a description of the function performed by the Command or the type
of data returned by the Query}

In the descriptions that follow, MNEMONICS are shown in Upper Case
letters. When used for programming the XMP 2600 - letter case is
ignored.
A Sequential Command is a command that cause all commands and
queries that follow it to be held off until its operation is completed. An
Overlapped Command is executed in the background while other
Commands and Queries are being parsed.
In the descriptions that follow, Commands and Queries starting with “*” are IEEE 488.2
Common Commands and Queries.
*CLS
clears all Event Status Registers. Also clears the summary bits in the
Status Byte Register.

*ESE
assign new value to the Standard Event Status Enable Register. Re-
calculates <rqs> and <ist>.
Syntax
*ESE
<int>
Parameters
the value to be assigned to the Register - a decimal
number in the range 0 to 255 representing bits in the
Register.

*ESE?
return the value of the Standard Event Status Enable Register. The
value returned is a decimal number in the range 0 to 255 representing
the bits of the Register.
