Serial I/O

The SmartCore board accepts three serial I/O connections. The first two ports
are configurable for RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485. The last port is configurable for
RS-232 only. RS-232 is specified to 50 feet (15 m), and RS-485 and RS-422 are
specified to 4000 feet (1219 m).
