WORKING.
The wall chaser is designed only for straight cuts.
Making curved or round cuts is forbidden.
The wall
chaser is designed for dry operation only.
Before
starting to work examine the place where the
operation will take place, check for hidden plumbing,
electrical and gas installations.
You can find it with
special device for wire localization.
The wall chaser
is equipped with a soft start feature.
Wait a while
after starting the wall chaser until the blade reaches
its top speed, only then you can proceed with your
work.
When working, do not use the switch of the
wall chaser to switch it on or off.
Switch button may
only be used when the wall chaser is away from the
processed material.
MAKING A CHASE.
Set the cutting depth.
Put the rear guide roller
against the wall (cutting blades should be above the
wall surface) (11).
Start the wall chaser and wait until
cutting blades reach full rotational speed.
Gradually
lower the wall chaser and plunge the cutting blades
into the wall (during this move rear guide roller
should have contact with the wall surface).
As soon
as the front guide roller rests on the wall, continue
with the cut and move the wall chaser forward and
away from you (in direction opposite to rotation of
cutting blades).
End the cut in reversed starting
sequence: by lifting the front guide roller and the
cutting blade.
Keep the rear guide roller against the
wall at all times.
After switching off allow the cutting
blade to stop completely, only then you can put
the wall chaser away.
The chase is fully emptied
and does not require chiselling.
After switching
the wall chaser off, do not brake the rotating blade
by pressing it against processed material.
Do
not apply excessive pressure on the wall chaser,
do not push it forward forcefully.
Pressure while
plunging and moving should be moderate.
Applying
excessive pressure may cause motor overheating
and damage of the cutting blade.
Cutting blades
heat up to high temperatures during operation – do
not touch them with unprotected parts of your body
before they cool down.
When cutting very hard
materials, cutting blade may be overheated and
damaged in consequence.
Shower of sparks around
the cutting blade indicates overheating.
When it
appears, immediately stop cutting and cool down
the blade by running it with full rotational speed with
no load for 3–5 minutes.
Noticeable decrease of
cutting efficiency and shower of sparks around the
cutting blade may indicate blunt cutting blade.
Use
only working tools whose allowable rotary speed is
higher or equal to maximum wall chaser speed with
no load.
MAINTENANCE.
The wall chaser has been designed for a long
working life with minimum maintenance.
Optimum
use depends on correct care of the wall chaser
and regular cleaning.
To prevent accidents, always
unplug the wall chaser from the power source
before cleaning or performing any maintenance.
The wall chaser may be cleaned effectively using
compressed air after each use.
If compressed air is
not available, use a brush to remove dust from the
wall chaser.
Motor ventilation vents and switch levers
must be dept clean and free of foreign matter.
Do not
attempt to clean by inserting pointed objects through
openings.
Cetain cleaning agents and solvents
damage plastic parts, among them are gasoline,
carbon tetrachloride, chlorinated cleaning solvents,
ammonia and household cleaners containing
ammonia.
Do not use any of these to clean the wall
chaser.
Should excessive sparking occur, have a
Werku
®
official repair service exam and/or replace
the carbon brushes.
