4 - Lubricate and Assemble the Stitch Head - Fit the Pivot Block and Lubricate and Fit the Wire-holder

G8 Stitch Head Maintenance Kit Instructions

Check the wire-hook spring-screw
has a lock washer fitted.

See

FIGURE 4:17.

and

FIGURE 4:18.

If the lock washer is fitted, go to
the next step, Step 6.

If the lock washer is not fitted, then
fit the 801-651 lock washer from
the kit.

• Remove the wire-hook spring-

screw, (A). See

FIGURE 4:17.

• Fit the 801-651 lock washer to

the wire-hook spring-screw.

• Make a hook from stitch-wire.
• Use the stitch-wire hook to pull

the wire-hook spring through
the wire holder.

• Apply Loctite 242 to the threads

of the wire-hook spring-screw.

• Fit the wire-hook spring-screw

to the wire-holder. Make sure
the wire-hook spring-screw
engages with the end of the
wire-hook spring.

• Remove and discard the stitch-

wire hook.

• Go to the next step, Step 6.

Lubricate the dowel pin on which the
wire-holder pivots.

Fit the wire-holder to the pivot block.
