Cleaning the hook and hook case

The ‹hook› must always be kept clean. If dust has collected on the ‹hook›, it must
be removed immediately. Dust, pieces of thread and lint in the vicinity of the
rotary hook can lead to uneven seams or the

‹hook system›

jamming.

Prerequisite:

The machine is disconnected from the power supply.

Required:

•

A brush

•

A screwdriver

•

Sewing machine oil

•

A cloth soaked in sewing machine oil

DANGER

Danger to life posed by electric shock

The sewing machine operates at low voltage. Improper connection poses the risk
of an electric shock.

Only use an easily accessible power socket as a power source.

➔

Do not operate several devices from one power socket. There is a risk of
overloading.

Do not pull the plug out of the socket with wet hands.

Do not plug the plug into the socket with wet hands.

Do not pull the plug out of the socket by the power cable.

Removing the needle

Carry out the following steps:

Check the needle position. If it is in the up position,

press the

‹Needle Up / Needle Down›

button.

sewing
machine

is

automatically moved into the ideal starting position for sewing. The thread
take-up lever and needle are in the correct position.
