Tension testing sewing thread |
Is my thread unwinding correctly?

Before you start sewing, always carry out a tension test.

Carry out the following steps:

➔

Pull the upper and lower threads about 8 cm to the left.

It should be possible to pull both threads evenly and easily.

The threads cannot be pulled evenly and easily.

This is caused either by the spool unwinding badly
or by inferior quality thread.

➔

Turn the spool and invert it on the second supplied spool pin.

➔

Put the second supplied spool pin on your W6 machine’s winder.

➔

Only use W6 thread.
