SETTING UP AN ETHERNET RELAY/CLOUDBOX 2505
In the device list (
), click on the button “Edit Properties” of one “Ethernet Relay” (VX 2505). If you are unsure which relay is
which, you can enable the flag “Accept Connections from Devices” under the software preferences then press any button on the
relay to open the settings for that relay.
The “
I/O MODULE SETTINGS
” window (
) shows the following device information:
•
The Device Model
•
The firmware version
•
The hardware version
Then there is a section of editable fields*:
•
The Device IP
•
The Subnet Mask
•
The Gateway IP
•
The DNS 1
•
The DNS 2
•
The Device ID
•
The Device Description
*If you are not sure, contact your system administrator to set the correct IP Address, subnet mask and Gateway.
It is recommended to set a descriptive “
DEVICE DESCRIPTION
” that identifies the area where the device is installed i.e. “Ground
Floor”, “Kitchen” etc.
In the “
GENERAL
” tab (
) you have the following:
• “INCOMING CALL” Section that defines the behaviour of the unit during an incoming call when its IP address is programmed to be
called like an apartment into the memory of one or more door stations.
» The first option allows to activate one of the two built-in relays.
» The second option allows to activate a remote relay of another unit 2505.
» The feature is disabled.
If the activated relay, remote or local, is set as “ringtone repeater/pulses”, if togheter with the 2505 are called also indoor stations
like videophones or intercoms, if someone answers from any indoor station the activated relay stops to operate.
I.e. this setting allows to use the 2505 to operate as “ringtone” repeater or as “panic call”, in any case allows to trigger an action on
an incoming call.
The “
INPUTS
” tab (
) includes the configuration tabs for “
IN1
“ and “
IN2
” cloudbox active low inputs. Each input can be config-
ured as follows:
• “Disabled” the imput status is ignored
• “Trig Local Output” it is requested which local relay must be activated, 1 or 2
• “Trig Remote Output” it is requested to select a remote relay of a door panel (4533 or 4512) or a remote relay of another Cloudbox
(2505)
• “Send message to IPure Logger” are requested up to 4 ip addresses and relevant ports of server where is running the IPure Logger
software.
The “
OUTPUTS
”
tab includes the configuration tabs for “
OUT1
“ and “
OUT2
”; each output has three dry contacts “C” , “NO” and “NC”
type.
The “MODE” section allows to select the relay operating mode:
• In “
Normal
” mode, when the output is enabled the two contacts are cloed for the specified “closing time”.
• In “
Latch
” mode, on every activation, the output switches its status from close to open and viceversa.
• In “
Pulses / Ringtone Repeater
” mode, the contacts are closed for a number of times that corresponds to the pulses value and each
time are closed for the “Pulse Length” duration. If in the “GENERAL” tab this output is enabled for “RINGTONE REPEATER” use, the
output will stop to operate as soon as someone pickup the handset to answer an incoming call.
The remotization section allows to remotize the output so that when the output is enabled will be enabled also the selected remote
output: the remote output can be any relay connected on the network coming from another cloudbox or door panel .
The “Trig Output” button allows to operate the output so to test the operation.
In the example of
the “OUT1” is configured in “Normal” mode so it will be activated for 1 second it is configured also to be
remotized so when enabled it will be enabled at the same time the remote “ME Car Gate” relay.
The remote relay will be enabled according to the relevant configuration.
