Outdoor Pendant Model
Use this method to quickly install, wire and
configure an Outdoor Pendant Model. See
Figure 10.
1. Install Mount or prepare a vertical 1.0-
inch NPT Pipe. Feed all cables at least
16-inches (406 mm) through pipe
opening and into top of Housing.
2. Tightly wrap approximately 3 turns of
supplied Teflon Tape clockwise around
pipe, looking up at pipe.
NOTE: Failure to apply the tape to the
threads will result in moisture
entering the Housing and eventual
failure of the Surveyor99.

Screw Sunshield and Housing
clockwise onto pipe, looking up at
pipe. When snug, turn an additional
quarter-turn.
4. Attach Housing’s Safety Cord to
Camera Drive’s Latch.
5. Cut and terminate all cables. See
Figure 11. All cables should be just
long enough to reach their mating
connector. If necessary, check wiring
against data in Table 1 of Wiring
Section. Install all connectors into
Communication Power Supply Board
and place each into the Fan’s Cable
Bracket.
1. Configure Surveyor99 communication
and address DIP Switches. See Figure
12 or Table 2.
2. Follow instructions on Enclosure’s
Installation Label to install Surveyor99
into Housing. This is done with a
counter-clockwise twist to line up
arrows and a final push up to snap
latches in place. Do not apply power
yet!
3. Attach Lower Dome. Tighten 4 Trim
Ring Screws while maintaining proper
Grommet orientation. Power-up the
Surveyor99. Refer to the Maintenance
Section for Lower Dome handling.
