IMPELLER MOTOR
OVERLOAD RELAYS

Wye-Delta Start
The chart below shows the motor full load amps
(first column) and the calculated value for Wye-Delta
start (second column). To calculate this value, the
full load amp rating of the motor is multiplied by .58.
This value is used to determine the overload relay
used. For example, 60 (FLA) x .58=34.8. From the
second column in the chart, see the value 34.8 and
select 12835 overload relay. The overload relay has
a dial on the front that must be set to the calculated
amp value.
