Mini Circuit Breakers (MCBs) and
Fuses
The electrical enclosure is supplied with
either
mini circuit breakers (1)
or fuses.
The chart to the right shows which devices
are supplied for a given voltage and power
supply type. If circuit breakers trip or fuses fail
frequently, investigate the cause.
Reading the Safety Monitor
The safety switches are connected to
the
inputs (2)
along the bottom of the safety
monitor. Each input has two
input status
lights (3)
. A green status light means the
input circuit is closed. A red light means the
input circuit is open. All status lights must be
green (closed) for the machine to run.
When a guard is removed the
corresponding status light turns red. Remove
the cutting enclosure for example (see
Maintenance, Covers and Guards in the
machine manual) with the disconnect switch
handle on (I). The
IN1 (4)
input status light
turns red. The light turns green when the
cover is replaced. See the chart to the right for
the location of each switch or sensor.
The
fault lights (5)
flash red when the
monitor detects an open safety circuit. If the
fault lights are flashing and none of the input
status lights are red, turn the disconnect
switch handle off. Wait 5 seconds and then
turn the handle back on.
The
PWR (6)
light is green when the
disconnect switch handle is on. Electrical
power is supplied to the machine.
