MOTOR CIRCUIT PROTECTOR
(MCP) SETTINGS
for NEMA motor starters
Across the Line Start, NEMA:
Refer to the charts at the right. For
motor full load amps from 32–51,
electrical assemblies contain a circuit
breaker. For motor full load amps
from 52–110, electrical assemblies
contain a Motor Circuit Protector
(MCP).
Wye-Delta Start, NEMA:
Multiply the full load amps of the
motor by .58. Use this value to select
heater elements from the charts at
the right. For example,
60 (FLA) x .58=34.8. From the chart,
select 63288 W63 heater element.
Note that the MCP cam settings listed
in the chart are for a specific manu-
facturer’s model of circuit protector
supplied on this machine. MCP set-
ting methods may vary with other
manufacturers.
