3.7 PTO - if equipped
PTO (Power Take Off)
The truck can be equipped with two
t y p e s o f P TO ' s , e n g i n e m o u n t e d
PTO and gearbox or transmission
mounted PTO. The engine mounted
PTO is clutch independent and the
transmission mounted PTO is clutch
dependent.
The PTO enables the driver or to
derive mechanical energy from the
truck to activate auxiliary functions
example pumps etc. A PTO can be
activated and deactivated by the
PTO switch on the dashboard, when
the pre-set conditions are met.

1. Apply the parking brake.

switch on the dashboard.
NOTE
PTO is disengaged when the
engine is switched OFF. When
the engine is switched ON, the
PTO is still disengaged despite
the fact that the switch is ON.
Switch OFF the PTO switch and
switch ON, before engaging the
PTO again.
NOTE
PTO is also disengaged when
t h e v e h i c l e s p e e d i s a b o v e
predefined limits.
NOTE

applied. The indicator in IC is
illuminated.
