• After lifting, fix the tyre by tighten-
ing with the crank handle. Apply a
force of more than 294 Nm {30
kgf} at handle edge for tightening.
The guideline is the degree of
turning the handle using one hand
with the full force of a normal
adult.
• After tightening, do not turn the
crank handle in reverse direction
and remove it.
• To remove the tyre, turn the crank
handle to the direction opposite to
when winding up until the ropes
loosens.
Wheel end assembly
F r o n t w h e e l b e a r i n g u s e s o i l a s
lubricant. Always fill the UD lubricant
0.3 Liter of GL-5 oil is to be used.
Wheel studs
R e p l a c e a l l t h e w h e e l s t u d s t h a t
have damaged or distorted threads,
a r e b r o k e n o r b e n t , o r a r e b a d l y
corroded. Also, replace both studs
adjacent to the damaged stud. If two
or more studs have damage, replace
a l l t h e s t u d s i n t h e h u b . B r o k e n
studs are usually an indication of
excessive or inadequate wheel nut
torque.
WARNING
•When mounting a wheel/tyre,
face the convex side of the disc
wheel upward. Mounting with
the concave side upward is
u n s t a b l e , a n d t h e t y r e w i l l
loosen.
•Ensure that the lifting plate is
correctly fitted on the disc
wheel (risk of the wheel falling).
•After mounting the tyre, try to
move it by hand to check that it
is securely fixed. If it is not
f i x e d , i t c o u l d f a l l d u r i n g
d r i v i n g ( r i s k o f a c c i d e n t ) .
Mount the spare tyre securely.
CAUTION
Failure to fill and maintain the
correct quantity and quality of
oil will lead to premature failure.
