Tubing diameter and length influence the pump performance. To avoid unnecessary
reductions, ensure:
o
The tubing inner diameter should be at minimum equal to the outside diameter of the
pump outlet
o
For tubing >=10m, the next size tubing diameter should be used.
o
No rough, kinked, or tightly bent tubing.
•
Secure the connection between pump and tubing by using a fastening strap or other safety
devices.
•
Ensure that the pump socket is earthed.
•
Ensure that the supply voltage and frequency corresponds to the pump label.
•
Do NOT lay cables in walking areas.

1 Tube connection to T-piece
The flexible black tubing of the air pump (Air OUT) is connected via a T-piece to the pressure control
valve. Downstream, the T-piece is connected to the "Flow IN" inlet (see Fig. 12) of the Calorimetry
Control Unit via an air protection filter.
NOTICE
- Instrument damage!
The opening for the pressure release of the pressure control valve must not be allowed to
become dirty, as this could limit or prevent its functioning.
•
Only operate a pressure control valve that isn´t dirty.
•
When cleaning, ensure that no water or any other liquids enter the valve.
Tubing connections…
…must be safeguarded with tubing clamps or other safety devices, etc. to prevent them from being
accidentally loosened.
Operation 11.6.4.
•
Ensure that the operating air temperature is within the range -10...+40°C (14…104°F)
