MFC calibration

The calibration parameters of the MFCs are set in the factory and should be changed after consulting

only.

For checking the flow produced by the MFCs, a flowmeter can be connected to the tubing leading,
e.g., to the Flow IN inlet of the cage (push system). The indicated flow should correspond approx. to
the flow required for the CaloSys module.

The flowmeter has a touch screen based on pressure. You can operate the screen with your finger or
an object that does not create any scratches on the display. Press the screen for >=3s until the unit
switches on. Once you switch the unit on you are able to access a menu structure with which you can
adjust the meter for your specific applications and preferences.
Before you put the unit into operation, verify that the unit is suitable for your application (gas, range,
pressure and temperature). You find these details on the supplied calibration sheet. If any of these
details deviate from your application, please contact

Do NOT connect the flowmeter to the tubing for the sample flow, as this flow is considerably smaller.

Flow measurements using a flowmeter are pressure-dependent and therefore not as accurate as
measurements with the MFCs, but their accuracy is sufficient for checking the MFCs.

Battery replacement

If the display of the electronic flowmeter remains blank, the internal battery should be replaced, see
Section 10.8.
