3 Check voltage between terminal SPD of engine ECU and body ground.

PREPARATION:

(a) Remove the glove compartment

(See page FI -- 6

(b)

Disconnect the E6 engine ECU connector.

(c)

Turn the ignition switch ON.

CHECK:

Measure voltage between terminal SPD of engine ECU and
body ground

OK:

Voltage: 9 -- 14 V

Check for open in harness and connector be-

tween J/B and engine ECU

(See page IN--21)

4 Check for open in harness and connector between J/B and combination meter

(See page IN--21)

Repair or replace harness or connector.

Check and replace engine ECU

(See page IN--21).
