Trap Receiver Configuration Example
This example shows how to setup the trap receiver for the NMS application HP
OpenView Workstation.
Open the file DEVICES in C:\OV\OVFILES (or the directory where HP Open View
resides).
Add the following text to the last line:
Toshiba RemotEye II 1.3.6.1.4.1.186.1.19.2.1 0x1347
POWERSUPPLY 0
Start HP OpenView Workgroup Node Manager.
Open the Customize Traps Alarms from the Monitor/Customize Trap… pull-down
menu.
Click Add Devices Class… and select Toshiba RemotEye II.
Click the Add Trap… button.
Add specific traps 1 through 4, as desired.
The table below suggests messages to use for each specific trap:
