Dirt on Anode and Trim Tab

Check if grease or oil is adhered to the components.

Clean if necessary.

A n o d e   p r o t e c t s   o u t b o a r d   m o t o r   f r o m

galvanic corrosion. Do not paint or apply

grease or oil to anode. Doing so disables

the anode.

Replace anode (or trim tab) if volume is reduced to 2/3 of
