3. Carefully insert the flow cell into the flow cell opening in the
detector. The flow cell must sit completely in the opening.

4. Turn the rotating locks simultaneously clockwise until they are in a
vertical position. The flow cell is locked in place, when the rotating
locks arrest.

5. Check that the flow cell sits correctly in the flow cell opening. The
front of the flow cell should lie flush with the detector front panel.
6. Install the capillaries to the flow cell. Follow the instructions in
section 5.6.4 Flow Connections to the Flow Cell, page 67 .
7. When flow is established to the flow cell, you can open the shutter
in the light path before the flow cell.
8. Perform a wavelength validation (see section 7.5, page 121 ).
