The meaning of the output signals is explained in the table below:
The four 4-20 mA output signals are broken out onto a detachable, 8-pin terminal block (3,5 mm /
0.14 inch). The mating connector is delivered as a standard accessory. The pin-out can be taken from
the following table.
Alarm contact:
The device can be connected to an on-site, external alarm system (such as a private branch telephone
exchange, a facility monitoring system, visual or audible alarm indicators.
For this purpose, a potential-free alarm contact is preinstalled in the device. This contact is broken out
to the control box on the backside of the unit (6/
).
Power supply connection:
Mains power is connected to the unit using a cable with an IEC connector plugged into the IEC socket
in the control box (7/
). The mains socket must be easily identifiable by the user and freely
accessible at all times.

Significance
4 mA
The measured value is smaller than or equal to the lower boundary of the
measurement range.
20 mA
The measured value is greater than or equal to the upper boundary of the
measurement range.
2 mA
The unit is fully functional, but there is no valid measured value available (for
example, the optional sensor is not installed, the unit is still in the warm-up
phase, or similar.).
