WARNING
Only MSHA certified individuals may perform maintenance,
calibration and sampling pursuant to 30 CFR Parts 70, 71 & 90. This
includes changing the battery packs, sample pump, cleaning the sample
inlet, and other maintenance items as described in the operator’s manual.

Equipment Damage
Do not use acetone to clean any of the parts of the
PDM3700.
✳
Several maintenance procedures, including changing the filter, cleaning the
grit pot and cleaning the sample lines, require the mass transducer to be
removed from the unit.
1.
Locate the TE handle on the side of the PDM3700 and slide it all the
way to the right as shown in to unlock the mass transducer, as shown in
Figure 5–1
.
