The cover panel of the PDM3700 may have to be removed to perform 
certain maintenance tasks (

Figure 5–31

). 

 

WARNING  

Whenever the PDM3700 case is opened for maintenance, you 

must perform a case leak check after reassembling the case. The system 
must pass the case leak check prior to operating the instrument. Correct the 
leak and re-test the instrument if the leak check does not initially pass. Do 
not operate the instrument if the system does not pass the case leak check.

Inspect the gasket and sealing surface to ensure they are clean and free 
of defects. Replace the gasket, if necessary (Seal Replacement Kit: 59-
009961). Install the gasket. 

2.

 

Install the cover panel onto the PDM3700 case. Ensure that the two 
screw holes on the top of the cover panel are aligned with the screw 
holes on the top of the PDM3700. 

3.

 

Verify that all portions of the cover panel gasket are seated properly 
(
