[NOTE] When a network connection is present, it is also possible to receive the
donation volume from the BBIS. Refer to the help-file of the T-RAC II TOMEs software
module for setting this up.
4. Venipuncture
After giving input on the events, the clamp will close. The device resets the weight
measured by the balance, performs a self-check and asks to perform the venipuncture.
Perform the veni
puncture and press ‘Start’ in order to start the donation.
For safety reasons, manually
altering the clamp’s state is
disabled between
venipuncture and the stage
‘needle removal’.
Press this button in order to
correct the volume in case it
is wrong. Using this button,
also the inputs of other events
can be reviewed and altered.
Donation volume which was
chosen in the previous step.
This button allows to cancel
the donation at this point.
[WARNING] Pay attention not to hit any cables or the donor tube as long as the needle
is connected to the donor.
