Measure and record the distance from the invert (bottom) of the
pipe or channel to the bottom of the sensor. This is the
Zero
Offset entered into your software.
Common Channel Shapes For common geometries with the standard measurements
described below, the channel shape must be symmetrical about
the vertical center line. These common geometries include: Cir-
cular, Rectangular, Trapezoidal, and Elliptical (Figure 2-23).
