a. From the IP Configuration screen, press
O
to change from display mode to edit mode.
A new layer of options displays at the
bottom of the screen. Each option relates to
one of the fields on the IP Configuration
screen.
b. Press
O
to toggle from DHCP to STATIC.
c. To accept STATIC, use the
>
button to move to the
3
, then press
O
to
accept your change. To cancel the change, use
<
to move to the
X
,
then press
O
.
Note: If you toggle from STATIC and then back to DHCP and then
accept the change, you cannot edit the remaining fields, since the
DHCP server assigns those values.
4. Set the IP address, Subnet, and Gateway.
a. Press > again to select Addr and press
O
to
select the IP address.
b. For each number in the IP address, use
>
and
<
to move to select the number in the
IP address that you want to change, then
press
O
to select the number. A red box
surrounds the selected number.
c. Press
O
to change the value of the selected number. The numbers
only increment upwards and to the maximum value allowed for the
IP segment. (All IP segments consist of three numbers.)
d. After you change the numerical values as required, use the
>
button
to move to the
3
, then press
O
to accept your change and return to
the bottom set of tabs. To cancel the change, use
<
to move to the
X
,
then press
O
to return to the bottom set of tabs.
e. Repeat Step a through Step d to change the values for the Subnet
(highlight Sub ) and Gateway (highlight GW ).
Note: Enter 0.0.0.0 for the Gateway if your network does not use a
gateway.
5. Use the
>
button to move to the
3
, then press
O
to accept your changes.
To cancel the changes, use
<
to move to the
X
, then press
O
.
6. If necessary, add the nTier500 to the domain for the network to which it
is connected. Contact your network administrator for assistance, if
needed.
