Component Description
Ethernet ports The nTier500 server includes two 1-Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) ports. The Gigabit
Ethernet ports can be used for network connections from hosts to the nTier500,
as well as for network connectivity for the BlueScale web interface used to
configure, manage, and monitor the nTier500.
RMM (Remote
Management
Module) port The RMM port is a dedicated Ethernet connection used to access the remote
power management functionality for the nTier500. See
Configuring Remote
Power Management on page 79 and the Intel Remote Management Module 2 User
Guide for detailed information (see Related Information on page 13 ).
Service port Used by Spectra Logic Technical Support personnel only.
Note: Depending on when your nTier500 was manufactured, this port may not
be present.
