Adjusting
Before adjusting
The monitor must be warmed up sufficiently.
To perform stable color reproduction, turn on the power of
the monitor, display the white signal and leave it in this
state for more than 30 minutes.
About monitor adjustment
The monitor is used as a measuring instrument and is
required to faithfully reproduce the input signal. To
measure the signal accurately, the monitor must be
calibrated correctly using a reference signal.
To calibrate, adjust the following items in sequence.
1 Chroma adjustment
You can save the adjustment value in Picture Preset 1
to Picture Preset 5 and Picture Preset(D-Cine). The
data of Picture Preset 1 to Picture Preset 5 or Picture
Preset(D-Cine) can be set in Picture Preset (page 45)
of the Configurations tab window of the Main
Operation window.
2 Color Temperature (white balance) adjustment
You can adjust the data set in the Color Temp (page
45) of the Configurations tab window of the Main
Operation window.
You can adjust D93, D65, D61, D56, D-Cine or User
Color Temp 1 to User Color Temp 5 except for the
XYZ format signal and D-Cine XYZ or User Color
Temp XYZ1 to User Color Temp XYZ5 for the XYZ
format signal.
3 Brightness/Contrast adjustment
You can save the adjustment value in Picture Preset 1
to Picture Preset 5 and Picture Preset(D-Cine). The
data of Picture Preset 1 to Picture Preset 5 or Picture
Preset(D-Cine) can be set to the channel in Picture
Preset (page 45) of the Configurations tab window of
the Main Operation window.
Chroma Adjustment
The following is the example of the method to perform the
manual adjustment of the chroma.
The chroma adjustment is not available for the RGB or
XYZ signal display.
1
Input the multi format color-bar signal or SMPTE
color-bar signal to the monitor.
2
Set the Blue Only to on in Mono/Cut (page 51) of the
Controls tab window of the Main Operation window.
