Network Ingest

You can control a DCP Ingest via the network.

To perform one or more
DCP Ingests via the
network, tap Menu,
Content, Network Ingest
in succession. The
NETWORK INGEST
pane appears.

The basic operation steps are exactly the same as for Local
Ingest. For details, see

“Local Ingest” on page 34

However, unlike Local Ingest, for Network Ingest you can
specify the source equipment from which to perform the
Ingest.

Tapping the Select Source button brings up a list of
registered sources.

The list of sources displayed here is based on S2S Source
registration, described below.
You can select an Ingest source from this screen.

When performing ingestion of a validated DCP on the
connected SMS, validation will be performed
automatically regardless of whether the

Validate

automatically after ingestion

checkbox is selected. (See

“Sony Trusted Circle” on page 9

While file transfer for Network Ingest is in progress, Local
Ingest, Network Ingest, and PWI cannot be performed on
the source LMT from which the files are transferred.

PWI (Play While Ingest)

PWI (Play While Ingest) is an ingest method that allows
playback of a single CPL while it is ingesting. Unlike
Local Ingest and Network Ingest, PWI allows you to start
a presentation before the CPL ingest completes.

If Play While Ingest is
performed while Local
Ingest or Network Ingest
is in progress, Play
While Ingest will take
priority and be
performed. Any Local
Ingest or Network Ingest
operations that were in
progress will resume
after Play While Ingest
completes.

You can control the CPL
Ingest from an external
library server via the
network.
To play content while the CPL ingest is in progress, tap
