Step 3: Installing an NSM Server
Communication between the IP converters and Network
System Manager uses a unique DHCP option.
Accordingly, the option must be created and configured.

In the [DHCP] dialog, right-click [IPv4] and select
[Set Predefined Options].
The [Predefined Options and Values] dialog appears.

Click the [Add] button.
The [Option Type] dialog appears.

Configure the following items, and then click the [OK]
button.
Name: NSM server settings for IPC
Data type: Byte
Array: Turn the checkbox on.
Code: 240

In the [DHCP] dialog, right-click [IPv4] and select
[New Scope].
The [New Scope Wizard] dialog appears.

Set the IP address range as described in

After setting the IP address range, click the [Next]
button. Create a scope by following the instructions in
the wizard.
In safety priority or uncompressed transmission
priority operation mode, create scopes for both main
and sub.

After creating a scope, in the [DHCP] dialog, right-
click [Scope Options] > [Other Options] and select
[Configure Options].
The [Scope Options] dialog appears.

Turn the [240 NSM server setting for IPC] checkbox,
configured in step 3, on.
