3-3 Edit Mode
This section introduces the Edit mode and explains edit mode display and
basic operation.
For the basic edit operation sequence, see Chapter 6, “Editing”.
3-3-1 Over view of Edit Mode
Edit mode allows you to edit and manage data. Edit data can be managed as
pages with IN and OUT points set for source material and destination material,
or as stacks of pages called programs.
In Edit mode, PLAYER and RECORDER edit points are displayed on the
LCD display.
Pages and programs are basic concepts related to editing through the control panel.
For details on these items, see Section 1-3, “Overview of Edit Data Management”
(page 1-3).
In the Edit mode, to conduct batch editing for Assemble/All, Video, or Audio
for the Video/Audio mode, an Audio Channel mode is available for separate
editing of four audio channels. While editing in the Audio Channel mode, you
can use material edited with the Effect Transition feature.
To switch between these editing modes, use the 2003: Channel Selection
Mode feature in the CP Setup mode.
For details about the CP Setup mode, see Section 3-6, “CP Setup Mode” (page 3-34).
Note
With Audio Channel mode selected, material cannot be handled in units of
pages.
For details about pages, see Section 6-1, “Overview of Editing Operations” (page 6-
1).
