Deleting with EXTRACT
Before deleting with EXTRACT, please note the following points.
• The operation can be executed only when Assemble/All is specified as the
Edit Channel.
Follow the procedure below to delete with EXTRACT.

Set the edit points (IN and OUT points) to define the interval that you want
to delete.
A message is displayed at this time, but just go on to step 2.
For details about how to set edit points, see Section 6-2-6, “Setting the Edit
Points” (page 6-8).

Hold down the SHIFT key and press the B6 (Extract) key.
The PREVIEW and AUTO EDIT buttons flash, indicating that you can
execute AUTO EDIT.

Press the PREVIEW button and execute PREVIEW as desired.
If you want to cancel the deletion at this time, press the B7 (Cancel
Extract) key and return to step 1.

Press the AUTO EDIT button to execute editing.
The specified interval is deleted. The material after the deleted interval
fills the space vacated by the deleted material and the duration is
shortened.
