Entry in the Time Data Entry dialog box
In the Time Data Entry dialog box, use the following principles to enter
numbers.
Entry method
• Using the L keys as a numeric keypad, enter numbers.
• New numbers are always added at the end of the time data string. The
previous number is shifted up (left) one place. Once the time data string
reaches 8 numbers, subsequent entries cause the most significant number (on
the far left) to be lost.
• Press B2 (Backspace) to delete the last number entered. The other numbers
are shifted down (right) one place. (Note that this operation does not restore
numbers lost because the time data string is longer than 8 numbers.)
• While the Time Data Entry dialog box is displayed, pressing the RESET key
to make all positions zero.
Adding or subtracting from the time data
When you press the B3 (Direct Cue Up) key in material mode, the B2 (Manual
TC Entry) in edit mode, or the B6 (Direct Cue Up) key in Dual Play mode,
you can add to or subtract from the time data.
• Press the B3 (-) or B4 (+) key accordingly when you want to subtract from or
add to the displayed time data.
For example, if you want to subtract one second from the time data, press the
B3 (-) key and enter “100”.
Confirming the entered time data value
• To confirm the entered time data value, press B7 (OK). If any free spaces
remain in the time data string, they are replaced by zeros. To cancel the entry,
and return to the previous state, press B6 (Cancel) instead.
• If an invalid time data value is input, it reverts to what it was previously and
the dialog box remains open.
