6.2.1

Installation

1. Insert the MOBIC CD in the CD-ROM drive of the host computer.

2. Start the Setup.exe in the \ActiveSync folder of the MOBIC CD.

3. Follow the instructions on the screen until you arrive at the “Get Connected“

dialog.

4. Now connect the MOBIC to your host computer via the serial cable and turn on

the MOBIC.

5. You can now continue to follow the instructions of the installation routine on the

host computer.

The MOBIC has now been detected and you can establish the partnership.

6. In the “Set Up a Partnership” dialog, select “Yes” to specify the partnership.

7. Follow the instructions on the screen until the installation is completed.

After successful installation of the program, you will find additional information on
using ActiveSync in the ActiveSync help on your host computer.

After installing ActiveSync, you will see an icon in the status bar of your host
computer (see Figure 6-1) that displays the status of the connection to your
MOBIC.
