Removing/Inserting the Battery

Batteries must only be replaced by a specialist.
Follow the steps outlined below when removing/inserting the battery:

1. Turn off the MOBIC.

2. If it is connected, disconnect the power supply unit from your MOBIC.

3. Lay the unit on its front.

4. Open the battery compartment cover by loosening the two screws.

5. The battery is connected to the MOBIC with a plug-in cable.

To remove or insert the battery, disconnect or connect the battery cable from
the MOBIC at the socket (see Figure 2-4)

6. Remove or insert the battery.

Caution

The backup battery provides the minimum necessary power supply when the main
battery is removed. To avoid loss of data, you should only leave the device without
its normal power supply for a short period (a few hours).
