Operating principle
Process controller
The MOVIKIT
®
Robotics is controlled by a process controller. This controller can be
implemented in the MOVI-C
®
CONTROLLER or in a higher-level controller (fieldbus).
In terms of MOVIKIT
®
, the process controller determines which paths are to be trav-
elled with which motion parameters by starting and parameterizing robot programs.
Robot monitor
The motion path is parameterized in the robot monitor. The path points and further
process signals can be determined or can be altered by the process controller during
runtime.
Troubleshooting
Error handling with transmission of an error message to the process controller is inte-
grated. Several diagnostics tools are available for a detailed fault analysis and startup,
e.g. the 3D simulation that is integrated in the robot monitor.
Safety
To fulfill the safety standard DIN EN ISO 10218-1 for robots, the MOVIKIT
®
Robotics
supports the operating mode selection, several brake ramps and reduced speed.
