Removing and installing air filter hous‐

Removing
– Pull off hose -2-.
– Release hose clip of resonator for intake air -3-

– Release hose clip for air intake hose -4-.
– Pull air filter housing -1- off ball head pins upwards.
Note
Do not pull out the air filter housing suddenly or to one side.
Installation
Note

If the air filter element is very dirty or wet, dirt or water could
reach components and affect the measured values. This will
cause a loss of power, as the calculated injection quantities
will be too low.
♦
Use original air filter.
♦
The air filter housings must be clean.
♦
Hose unions and air intake pipes/hoses must be free of oil and
grease when installing.
♦
Use a silicone-free lubricant to install the air hoses.
♦
Secure all hose connections with the hose clips corresponding
to original equipment ⇒ Electronic parts catalogue .
♦
When using compressed air to blow out the air filter housing,
cover the critical air-carrying components such as air pipes,
etc. with a clean cloth. This is to avoid any functional impair‐
ments.
♦
Please observe requirements for disposal.
– Clean salt residue, dirt and leaves out of air cleaner housing
(top and bottom sections) using a vacuum cleaner.
– Blow out water drain with compressed air.
