10.5 Default Serial Port Configuration
When the sample/default database is loaded on the router control module(s) the four RS485
serial communications ports on the rear of the router (see section 6.2) are configured as
shown in Table 8.
If a custom database is loaded on the router control module(s) the ports may be configured
differently. Port configuration can be checked and modified using the Workbench software,
see the Workbench User Manual for details.
• RS485 1 (COM 3) = General Switcher In (SW-P-02) for external control systems
• RS485 2 (COM 4) = General Switcher In (SW-P-02) for external control systems
• RS485 3 (COM 5) = Panel Protocol for up to 15 controllers on addresses 1 to 16 as
shown in the table below:
• RS485 4 (COM 6) = General Switcher In (SW-P-02) for external control systems
“Auto” mode has been configured in the default database as the primary reference source for
all inputs (see the Sirius 800 User Manual for information on video and audio reference
inputs).
