5.2.3. REQUIRED OPERATING AND MAINTENANCE SPACE
AND AREA LIGHTING
The maximum space necessary to operate and maintain the machine is shown in
drawing 346-0-M100-# (top view).
The machine must be erected on an area consisting of one single floor element
whose surface must be level and without any obstacles.

The gray shaded area in the drawing shows the required operating space around
the press brake.
On the left-hand side and on the right hand side of the press brake
there should be a minimum space which exceeds the working length
of the machine by approximately 1 meter.
This space is required in order to push the tools into the machine
from the side. This does not apply if only short tools are used.
Take care of sufficient work area lighting. Preferred is natural light or, as
alternative, artificial light. Both require the minimum light intensity of 500 Lux.

