To do this switch the press brake control to single stroke in
combination with a low tonnage.
When top tool and bottom tool intermesh (if required with a strip of
material in between) the top tool will now become flush with the tool
adaptation in the upper beam or intermediate beam.

Attention, do not exceed the maximum allowable load of the tools.
9.3.4.1. CHANGING UPPER TOOLS THROUGH THE SIDE FRAME
When inserting tools through the side frame, be aware to insert the tool
completely even with the end of the tool clamping device.
Keep upper limbs out of the machine as long as the top tool is
not yet placed correctly.
9.3.5. CHANGING BOTTOM TOOLS
The lower beam table is a standard accessory of SafanDarley press brakes. As an
extra option they may have been fitted with a so-called single V tool table,
adjustable crowning system or flattening tool.
In these table models there is usually an adaptation groove in which so-called
single V tools can be mounted.
On this bottom tool adaptation so-called block tools (or multi-V tools) cannot be
mounted.
A single V tool contains only one groove.
A small line usually marks the front of the single V tool.
