1. Use the press brake control to make the upper beam go to the position that
the top tool can be pushed through the side frame,
2. Put the mode switch on the electrical cabinet in position “0”, Note that the
mode switch can be locked using a key. This will lock the mode switch in
the position it is in. The mode switch cannot be changed after removal of
the locking key.
3. Open the trap door in the side protection
4. Turn the clamping bolts of the clamping plates half a turn to the left.
5. Push the top tool on its side out of the press brake to the left-hand or
right-hand side of the press brake.
Keep upper limbs out of the machine as long as the top tool is still
in it.
The top tool may be sharp: wear leather working gloves.

A top tool is fragile: handle with care.
6. Put back again the top tool; moved it through the side frame of the press
brake and then push over the safety key of upper beam.

Make sure that the surfaces of the tool adaptation of both upper
beam and top tool are clean and undamaged
Tools may not protrude – at both sides - from the tool clamping
device. Protruding tools may cause damage or danger of
jamming.
7. Tighten the clamping plates with which the top tool is clamped to the tool
adaptation when the top tool is in the correct position.

The maximum moment of torque is approx. 50 Nm.
8. Finally the top tool must be pushed well home in the tool adaptation.
