3.1.2 INSTALLED SAFETY DEVICES
3.1.2.1 Shutdown devices
The shutdown devices signal any malfunctioning and stop the machine or prevent it from being started up.
3.1.2.2 Shutdown signals
Whenever a fault arises a flashing light informs the operator. The cause of the fault which caused the machine to shut
down is shown on the display of the machine interface.
The fault messages are described in detail in the INSTRUCTIONS B manual.
3.1.2.3 Devices to safeguard the operator
The machine is provided with a number of mobile dust-free mechanical safety guards (optional) which are connected
to electrical shutdown devices.
In addition, there are fixed mechanical guards made in sheet metal which prevent the operator from accidentally
coming into contact with moving parts or other dangerous components such as live parts.
There are mobile mechanical guards made in sheet metal and connected to shutdown electric devices which prevent
the operator from accidentally accessing moving parts and live parts.
The lights are provided with fixed mechanical guards that prevent eyes from being in direct contact with them.

If SACMI does not supply the entire assembly which the machine is to be incorporated in, the end user is
responsible for connecting the emergency shutdown circuit of the machine dealt with in this manual to the
emergency shutdown circuit of the line in which it is installed.
3.1.2.4 Emergency stop buttons
Emergency stops can be made by pressing the buttons on the control panel. Press the buttons to make the machine
shut down instantly.
These buttons should only be used when the operator is faced with dangerous conditions.
