SUGGESTED LEVELER MAINTENANCE
NOTE:
Your local RITE-HITE
®
representative provides a
Planned Maintenance Program (P.M.P.) which can
be fitted to your specific operation. Call your local
representative.
Daily
1. Verify that inside and outside lamps are working.
Replace damaged or missing light bulbs and lenses.
2. Remove debris on and around DUAL-DOK system.
Be sure the hinge section of the lip is clean.
3. Make sure that the bellows prevent unauthorized
entry into pit (i.e., torn fabric, broken or missing
cotter keys, ect.).
4. Check for proper operation. Run DUAL-DOK system
using the “Operating Instructions” described in this
manual to ensure proper operation. See pages 23-
27.
90 Days
1. Perform all Daily Maintenance.
2. Clean pit. Make sure that pit drain line or sump is
free from obstructions and is operational.
3. Lubricate all wear points with multi-purpose grease
using the grease fittings provided. See Figure 28.
4. Lubricate rear hinge pins with anti-seize lubricant.
See Figure 28.
5. Spray lubricate on all pins and cylinder rods. See
Figure 28.
6. Check hydraulic reservoir for proper fluid level.
7. Check all hydraulic cylinders, hoses, and fittings for
leaks or signs of wear.
8. Inspect dock bumpers. Four inches (4") of bumper
protection is required. Worn, torn, loose or missing
bumpers must be replaced.
9. Inspect hand-held pendant station and cable for
damage or wear.
10. Test support latch and selector valve safety devices.
180 Days
1. Perform Daily and 90-Day Maintenance.
2. Test WARNING HORN function. Press and hold the
Lift DOWN button to lower the unit 3” below dock
height. When the platform is left below dock level for
15 minutes, the horn will sound. To reset the timer,
press either the Lift DOWN or UP buttons.
365 Days
1. Perform Daily, 90-Day, and 180-Day Maintenance.
2. Run cycle test to verify system integrity.
3. Check and tighten signs, outside light box, and
control box mounting hardware.
4. Check and tighten all limit switch actuator arms.
