Component Annual inspections with the impeller at a standstill
Impeller Inspect the impeller for build-up of material, damage,
cracks or deformations with the impeller at a complete
standstill
Bearings (for structural designs K and R
only)
Retighten the screws using a torque wrench. Refer to
Table 7-1 Tightening torques
Coupling (for structural design K only) Check alignment of the coupling with the impeller at a
complete standstill. Refer to chapter 8.1
Belts (for structural design R only) Check condition of the belts (wear, longitudinal
elongation) and the belt pulleys (groove shape,
alignment)
Motor Retighten the screws using a torque wrench. Refer to
Table 7-1 Tightening torques
Motor terminal box
To be performed by an electrical specialist only, with the
impeller at a complete standstill and with supply of
voltage disconnected:
Clean the motor terminal box from the inside and remove
any condensate. Check the motor connection cables for
secure fastening. Check earthing of the motor.
