OnLAN 323 Product Collaboration

Together with the other OnLAN 323 series products, the L2W-323 Gateway can provide a
comprehensive inter-network multimedia conferencing solution. The following are
examples of how the L2W-323 Gateway can collaborate with the MCU-323 Multipoint
Conference Unit and the VIU-323 Video Interface Unit.

L2W-323 Gateway and MCU-323

Together with the MCU-323 Multipoint Conference Unit, the L2W-323 Gateway allows
H.320 terminals on the WAN to participate in a mixed WAN-LAN multipoint multimedia
conference with endpoints on the IP-based LAN.

For example, an H.320 terminal on the WAN wants to participate in a multipoint conference
with H.323 endpoints on the LAN. The H.320 WAN terminal can either join the multipoint
conference by dialing to the Gateway, or be invited into the conference by one of the
participating endpoints on the LAN. Either way, the Gateway connects the WAN terminal to
the MCU-323, enabling it to participate in the multipoint conference.
